Red Dress

At the end I was adjusting the levels for the reds on this and it really stressed me out. I have 2 monitors (laptop and external), and the picture looked entirely differently on both of them (laptop has less colors in the screen, mostly less reds). And I have no idea what it looks like on your screen now! I kept pushing the reds brighter, then duller, then more yellow, then more green... I think that's the worst part about digital art. Everyone will see the same online picture a different way, no matter how hard the artist tries. Well, I said that to a gallery painter, and she said, "Same thing with traditional art! You'll deliver a green painting to a gallery, to find that the gallery has bad lighting, glare is all over the painting, and the walls are bright pink. And your painting looks awful." ...so I guess this is a friendly reminder to calibrate your screen today and make sure you're enjoying the best that your computer has to offer!
